ICON MAGIC : ICON ATHLETES DOMINATE MEYCIPRISA

Historic : ICONs athleticism dominate MeyCiPriSa
 
ICON athletes swept the recent Meycauayan City Private Schools Association (MeyCiPriSa) Athletic Meet with stunning success after winning various awards in all categories of the competition on March 18-22,2024 on different venues ; Trinitas College, Meycauayan College Annex, Marymount Professional Colleges Inc.
In the opening salvo of the stint, ICP Meycauayan athletes fired a historic punch to gold as 3x3 ICONs, mentored by Ms. Coline Timothy Salapong and Ms. Julie Ann Victoriano, achieved the first-ever win and championship of the campus in MeyCiPriSa after winning by default versus Trinitas counterparts on March 19.
 
Following the impressive open frame, the campus' men's 5v5 ballers and women's spikers both podiumed in the event's third day, March 20, as 1st runner-ups in their categories respectively ; the athletes were coached by Ms. Cherielyn Surio,Ms. Princess Zion Sta. Ana and Ms. Salapong as well.
 
Meanwhile, during the same day, more ICONs joined the unstoppable path to glory as chess masters Dean Russel Marciano and John Andrei Martinez clinched the 4th and 6th place in their field ; both were supervised by Mr. Chester Pineda.
 
The streak never ended there as during the fifth day, ICP's men's spikers gained another podium for the campus after finishing 1st runner-up like their women counterparts ; the team was also trained by Ms. Salapong and Ms. Surio.
 
Furthermore, ICONs wrapped the game with a bang as singles shuttlers Kesh Macatulad and Xenah De Jesus landed at 4th and 5th spot after an intense spare tally as their doubles counterparts Glaiza Joy Tobania and Andrea Arias podiumed 3rd, while Prince Lapeña and Zianne Rosales capped ICP's MeyCiPriSa journey after taking up 9th place ; the shuttlers were mentored by Ms. Lorelyn Lupango.
 
The recent glory of ICP Meycauayan in MeyCiPriSa was historic as it is the first-ever participation of the campus in the annual sports event since its opening in school year 2022-2023.
