Carlos Yulo locks-in PH's 'SOPHOMORE GOLD' amid ongoing Paris Olympiad
 
PARIS - Philippines' Men's Floor Exercise ace, Carlos Edriel Yulo, just copped the nation's second-ever golden podium in its 100-year Olympic history after besting out 15 countries in the category yesterday August 3 (Philippine Standard Time) during the ongoing games at Paris Summer Olympics 2024 in France.
 
The floor athlete has fired a terrific performance and secured the precious feat after tallying 15.000 at the Men's Floor Exercise Finals conducted in the 'City of Love' on the night of August 3 (French Time) at the Bercy Arena ; Yulo checked a record as the first-ever Filipino delegate to seize a gold finish during the Paris tourney and also the first Filo' and Southeast Asian gymnast athlete to podium in the prestigious event.
 
To pave the way for his destined victory, he pushed to successfully overpower the defending gold medalist Artem Dolgopyat of Israel and Britain's Jake Jarman as he emerged on top to notch another history for the 'Pearl of the Orient'.
 
Previously, Yulo, known in his nickname as 'Caloy', had won several weighed awards due to his gymnastic talent including Asian and World Championships and he's set to receive tons of benefits, incentives, and glorified welcome from the Philippine government and the private sector as the 'Golden' aftermath of his triumphant finish for his career and country.
