Educational Philosophy

ICI, a private non-sectarian higher educational institution, believes that virtue builds character, knowledge, and excellence.

Vision

The Immaculate Conception I-College of Arts and Technology (ICI-CAT) envisions to be a paramount provider of excellent education that will develop competent and skilled leaders in harmony with the global economic community.

Mission

  1. ICI-CAT commits to provide innovative academic programs that are responsive to students’ needs through linkages to other learning, business and technological institutions, local, and international.

  2. ICI-CAT provides scholarship programs through efficient management of its internal and external resources to deserving and qualified students; and

  3. ICI-CAT promotes Filipino identity, culture, and values.

VALUES INDICATORS
1. MAKADIYOS (Character Formation)

The foremost value that seeks to experience a lasting relationship with GOD. It inspires the people of ICI with courage, spirit, and confidence through faith, love, and commitment to God Almighty.

The educative process integrates values education and character formation programs to all religious sectors based on Filipino culture.

2. MAKABAYAN (Filipino-Nationalists)

This value kindles the nationalistic spirit of the people. Such aspiration gives the people of ICI a mission and a sense of dedication to work with the best of their skills and abilities by promoting science and technology for the advancement of the nation.

The teaching and inculcation of Filipino values and ideals are critical to the curriculum programs: vision/ mission statement emphasizes the school’s commitment to Filipino values; celebrates culture and arts as an essential element of the life of the institution.

3. MAKATAO (Compassionate/Humane and Nobility of Work)

Nurtures the nobility of work; advocates that man has to work to support himself. To be able to work productively, the school has to develop competencies, and skills in any work that is honest and beneficial to society.

Conducts meaningful community extension programs for the benefit of the people; admission and retention policies consider the needs of less able but qualified students; school fees are kept at affordable level to keep admission accessible, the school promotes and advocates simplicity, frugality of lifestyle in school and home. School policies are pro-poor.

4. MAKAKALIKASAN (Steward of Nature or Naturalist Filipino)

This value harbors on the ideal of ICI of having a high regard for the preservation and conservation of the country’s environment and natural resources.

Imaginative, doable programs, and interests that favor on the care of the environment, that increases connectivity to Mother Earth and establishes advocacy on love for nature.

5. MAPAGMAHAL SA KARUNUNGAN (Quality and Excellence)

This value lies in the relationship arising from the common interest, purposes, and responsibilities of the people. With this, the people of ICI think, feel and act together towards the attainment of the school’s vision.

School curriculum programs are all CHED recognized; adequate school facilities, and laboratories; orderly-disciplined climate; aggressive pursuit of quality and high-level performance; competitive enrollment; high job absorption; variety of programs.
