The Immaculate Conception I-College community gathered for an evening of music, poetry, and cultural performances during Gabi ng ICI, held on February 13, 2026, at the Patio ng Simbahan in Santa Maria, Bulacan. Organized as an extended celebration of the town’s fiesta, the event showcased Bulacan’s rich cultural identity through kundiman performances, traditional dances, and poetry.
Opening the program, the Philippine National Anthem was performed by the FFHNAS SPA Rondalla, followed by an invocation led by Ms. Fatima Espiritu. Hosts Ms. Fatima Espiritu and Mr. John Gabriel Mendoza Lanuza presented a historical overview of Santa Maria, connecting the evening’s performances to the town’s cultural roots. Musical highlights included kundiman performed by Ms. Fatima Espiritu and Mr. James Merald Herrera, as well as a duet by Mr. Russell Dela Cruz and Ms. Jelane Rodillas. Mr. Miguel Arby Cabanting Flores performed “Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal,” adding a nostalgic touch to the evening’s repertoire.
The program also acknowledged notable Bulakenyo cultural figures, including Mr. Francisco Santiago, regarded as the Father of Kundiman, and Mr. José Corazón de Jesús, a celebrated literary icon. Brief video clips highlighting their contributions were presented, providing context and inspiration for the evening’s performances while emphasizing the event’s focus on Filipino arts and culture.
One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the poetry performance by internet personality Ms. Kween Yasmin, whose appearance generated excitement among attendees. Her expressive delivery captured the audience’s attention and became one of the memorable highlights of the event.
Cultural performances of “Kanlahi” (BSTM 1-3), “Kamote” (HRRO 1-5), and “Kalabaw” (HRRO 1-7) also drew applause, showcasing coordinated choreography inspired by Filipino traditions and community life. The program concluded with a stirring performance of “Bayan Ko” by Ms. Fatima Espiritu and Mr. John Gabriel Mendoza Lanuza, reinforcing the evening’s patriotic and cultural themes.
As the evening ended, Gabi ng ICI brought together students and guests to celebrate Santa Maria’s culture and creativity. The event highlighted local traditions and encouraged participation in the arts and community.
