Strength, discipline, and unwavering determination took center stage as the ICI College Criminal Justice Education – Martial Arts Club delivered an outstanding performance at the PRISAA Boxing Regional Competition held in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Showcasing exceptional skill inside the ring, the team brought home an impressive medal haul of nine gold medals and one bronze medal, solidifying their reputation as a formidable force in regional collegiate boxing. Their performance not only highlights their athletic excellence but also reflects the discipline and resilience ingrained in every CJED student-athlete.
Guided by Coach Prof. Bonn G. Pagaduan and Sports Coordinator Mr. Noel Leguin, the team demonstrated strategic precision, endurance, and composure throughout the competition. Each match was a display of preparation meeting opportunity, as the athletes executed well-trained techniques with confidence and control.
Leading the gold medal victories were standout fighters across multiple weight divisions, including Janard B. Tejano (Lightweight), Rhizel Sckide P. Saucejo (Middleweight), Mc Raven Azures (Minimum Weight), Garcia Gregorio Manolito Jr. (Flyweight), John Leivid V. Vertudazo (Bantamweight), Jairus Arbial (Featherweight), Andrian Belchez (Welterweight), Rizalito Basa Jr. (Light Middleweight), and Mark Anthony M. Padilla (Light Heavyweight).
In the women’s division, Ernella Lea Lyn G. Miranda also secured a gold medal in the Minimum Weight category, further highlighting the team’s depth and excellence across divisions. Meanwhile, John Leivid V. Vertudazo added to the medal tally with a bronze finish in the Light Welterweight category, demonstrating versatility and determination.
This remarkable achievement has earned the team the honor of representing Region III in the upcoming national competition, where they will face top contenders from across the country. With their current momentum, the CJED Warriors are poised to make an even greater impact on the national stage.
