BULACAN, Philippines — A meaningful milestone was recently celebrated by the ICI College Education Department as its student teachers successfully conducted their Final Demonstration Teaching across three partner secondary schools: Caypombo National High School, Pulong Buhangin National High School, and San Gabriel National High School.
The final demonstration marks the culmination of months of preparation, classroom immersion, and hands-on teaching experience. It serves as a defining moment for pre-service teachers as they transition from theory-driven learning inside the university to real-world classroom engagement.
Guided and supervised by their Program Head, Dr. Mary Christine B. Carruthers, the student teachers showcased not only their mastery of subject matter but also their classroom management skills, instructional creativity, and passion for shaping young minds. The demonstrations reflected innovative strategies, learner-centered approaches, and meaningful integration of values formation, qualities essential in today’s evolving educational landscape.
Each participating school provided a supportive and professional environment that allowed the student teachers to grow and thrive. From the accommodating school heads and dedicated cooperating teachers to the enthusiastic learners, the warm welcome and consistent mentorship significantly contributed to the success of the program.
We extends our heartfelt gratitude to Caypombo National High School, Pulong Buhangin National High School, and San Gabriel National High School for opening their doors and serving as training grounds for future educators. Their commitment to mentoring student teachers strengthens the bridge between higher education institutions and basic education schools, ensuring that aspiring teachers are equipped with both competence and compassion.
As these student teachers complete their internship journey, they carry with them invaluable lessons, strengthened confidence, and a deeper sense of purpose. The Final Demonstration was not merely an academic requirement, it was a celebration of growth, dedication, and readiness to serve in the noble profession of teaching.
Indeed, the future of education looks brighter as these emerging educators step forward, prepared to inspire, lead, and make a difference in every classroom they enter.
