ICI-College Student Council Holds Meeting de Avance 2025

Santa Maria, Bulacan — The Immaculate Conception Institution (ICI) - College successfully staged its Meeting de Avance 2025 on August 27, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:30 PM at the ICI Event Center, with students, faculty, and staff coming together to witness the official presentation of candidates for the upcoming Student Council elections.

The event commenced with the assembly of the ICI community, followed by a solemn prayer led by Florie Mae Masaglang, and the singing of the National Anthem. Setting the tone for the program, Dr. Filipina M. De Leon, Head of OSAS, delivered her opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of student leadership, civic engagement, and responsibility in shaping the future of the institution.

Highlighting the achievements of the current council, SC Incumbent President Edric Lance Padilla presented a detailed report of the 2024 Student Council accomplishments, ranging from academic programs to student welfare initiatives. His message underscored the significance of continuity and accountability in student governance.

The program then moved to the highly anticipated “Path to Leadership Presentation” where the two political parties, LAPIS and SHARE, unveiled their platforms, advocacies, and proposed projects for the student body. Each party passionately outlined their vision for improving student life at ICI.

A central part of the afternoon was the Presidential Q&A, expertly moderated by Ms. Jessica C. Cristobal, Head Librarian, with assistance from Ms. Cindy Santiago, NSTP Coordinator. Presidential candidates tackled pressing issues concerning students and articulated their plans for transparent, inclusive, and service-driven leadership.

As the event drew to a close, the two parties gave their final pitch to the students, urging their fellow ICIans to weigh their choices carefully before casting their votes. The program concluded with a photo opportunity, capturing the hopeful and democratic spirit of the occasion.

The Meeting de Avance 2025 successfully demonstrated not only the readiness and determination of the candidates but also the commitment of ICI-College to fostering an environment of student empowerment, civic responsibility, and democratic participation.
