AICEE's LYNX SPIRIT : ICISM's SPEEDY DEFENSE COUPS TRIUMPH VS. A-LISTERS STI-M

VICTORY COURT, SAN RAFAEL | A vicious fight of intense tenacity occurred in the second round of the inaugural season of the Bulacan University and Colleges Athletic Association (BUCAA) basketball league between Immaculate Conception International College of Arts and Techology (ICISM), and one of the deadly sports schools in the 'Bracket A', STI College Malolos (STI-M), May 7th at Victory Court, San Rafael, Bulacan. 

STI-M kickstarted the game and unleashed unstoppable drives, causing a 10-point lead from first quarter to the start of the second period. 

Thereafter, ICI Santa Maria reactivates its signature press defense strategy that they used in the previous game to send PUP-SMB home ; the strategy caught STI-M off-guard, causing major turnovers to switch the tide of the game to ICISM, managing to take the lead by 5 points. 

However, STI-M tried to outsmart ICI's lynx-like speed and defense and managed to launch a mini-run, launching the game into a hefty stalemate in the first half, 42-42.

For starters, IC Institutions' (including ICI College) official mascot is a lynx, named Aicee ; lynx is a type of a wild cat in the Eurasian Plain that is known for its eyes' luminescence. 

Both teams were in a precarious situation by the start of the second half, with no one breaking the deadlock, 56-56 at time stamp 5:17 ; by the end of the third quarter, ICI steals the lead with a magnificent buzzer-beater lay-up, 66-65, in favor of the ICONs. 

On the start of the final frame, both teams exchanged leads until ICI finally launched a successful barrage, toppling STI-M's ability to reorganize their offense. 

ICISM maintained a constant 5-point lead despite all-out efforts of their Maloleño counterparts to regain the lead as in the end, a hard-earned victory was clutched by the basketball ICONs, maintaining their momentum over the recent two games with a split tally of 2-2, second win gained after outlasting STI Malolos in an attrition for glory with an outcome of 95-90, on the side of the triumphant ICONs.
